Sodasuri achieves her first major win at the Kyoto Himba Stakes.

Sodazuling clinches her first major win at the Kyoto Fillies Stakes

In the recent Kyoto Fillies Stakes (GⅢ), the second favorite, Sodazuling, achieved a proud victory. This uncompromising performance was the fruition of jockey Yutaka Take’s exquisite strategizing and Sodazuling’s own growth. With this victory, Sodazuling was able to secure her first major race win, significantly showcasing her abilities.

This race was held on a 1400-meter turf course, with a total of 18 horses participating. As it was held in Kyoto for the first time in three years, the crowd was more excited than ever. Sodazuling’s winning time was 1 minute 20.3 seconds, a moment where speed and energy superbly connected.

Sodazuling’s success can be attributed to her excellent condition before the race. In the training just before the race, she demonstrated an impressive performance on the Ritto Training Center CW course and clocked a time of 4 furlongs 49.8―11.5 seconds, more than adequately showing her readiness. As a result, she was able to perform to her full potential in the race that day.

For Sodazuling, this race was her first since the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint last autumn where she placed ninth, making this her first race since returning from overseas. She faced this challenging situation unflinchingly, demonstrating a firm sense of calm and strength.

This victory is worth commemorating for Sodazuling. Also, jockey Yutaka Take commented, I felt once again that she has great capabilities, and there are many praising her talents. We cannot take our eyes off Sodazuling’s future accomplishments.
