The release is planned for summer of 2024.

The global premiere event for Netflix’s ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ will be held, and the original manga will also be distributed for free for a limited time.

The worldwide premiere event for the Netflix series Yu Yu Hakusho, called Battle Eve Festival, was held on December 13th at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. The event was attended by the lead actors, Takumi Kitamura (who plays Yusuke Urameshi), Jun Shison (who plays Kurama), and Keita Machida who all shared anecdotes from the shooting of the series.

Netflix’s Yu Yu Hakusho is a drama based on the original work by Yoshihiro Togashi, which ran in Shonen Jump from 1990 to 1994. The hugely popular series, with over 50 million cumulative copies of the comics published, has started as a live-action drama on Netflix from December 14th.

In commemoration of the release of this drama, the first through 51st episodes of the original manga are now available for free on Z-Black until 11:59 p.m. on December 20, 2023.

Transforming material into a live-action drama is difficult in terms of quality, and despite many attempts, they often do not achieve success. However, the Netflix version of Yu Yu Hakusho seems to be showing signs of positive change.

Furthermore, on the day of the event, Keita Machida revealed behind-the-scenes stories, showing a new side of himself to the audience. Also, this Netflix series has been exclusively available worldwide from December 14th.
