I will report on an incident where a male body was discovered in a large suitcase in the Tama River in Kawasaki City. This suitcase was discovered by the Kanagawa Prefectural Police following a 110 call from an individual who was fishing around 10:10 PM on the 29th.

The identity of the discovered body has been confirmed as a 46-year-old male. According to police reports, the cause of death of this male is believed to be asphyxiation, and it is suspected that several days have passed since his death.

Currently, investigations are ongoing into the man’s exact address and occupation. The Kanagawa Prefectural Police are treating this incident as a case of murder and corpse abandonment and continue the investigation.

The Tama River, where the incident occurred, is near Haneda Airport, and it was in the vicinity of Tonacho, Kawasaki-ku, Kawasaki City that the suitcase containing the man’s body was found.
